Follow the competition results, seminars, training camps, and achievements of the Growth Combat Sports training community. Our athletes and students represent programs including Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, No-Gi Grappling, MMA, Boxing, Taekwondo, and other martial arts and combat sports, with Golden Dragon Academy of Williamsport representing our traditional Judo, Taekwondo, and Wing Chun programs.

September 5–6, 2026 — Fabio Basile Olympic Champion Judo Seminar

Golden Dragon Academy of Williamsport — Groton, CT

Members of Golden Dragon Academy of Williamsport traveled to Groton, Connecticut for a two-day Judo seminar with Fabio Basile, 2016 Olympic Judo Champion.

The seminar gave members of our Williamsport Judo program the opportunity to train directly with an Olympic gold medalist and learn techniques, concepts, and approaches to Judo from an elite international competitor.

Traveling to seminars like this is part of Golden Dragon Academy’s commitment to continued development and exposing our students and instructors to high-level Judo training beyond our Williamsport, Pennsylvania dojo. The knowledge and experience gained at these events can then be brought back into our regular Judo classes and competition training in Central Pennsylvania.

August 23–29, 2026 — International Judo Camp

Golden Dragon Academy of Williamsport — Bloomingburg, NY

Members of Golden Dragon Academy of Williamsport traveled to Bloomingburg, New York to attend the International Judo Camp, a week-long training camp bringing together Judoka for intensive technical instruction, randori, and training with athletes and instructors from outside their home dojos.

The camp gave members of our Williamsport, PA Judo program an opportunity to train with a wide variety of partners, experience different approaches to Judo, and continue developing their skills through several days of concentrated training.

Experiences like the International Judo Camp supplement the regular Judo training offered through Golden Dragon Academy of Williamsport and provide our students with opportunities to participate in the broader Judo community throughout Pennsylvania and the Northeast.

July 25–26, 2026 — 2026 State Games of America BJJ & Judo Championships

State College, PA

Growth Combat Sports and Golden Dragon Academy of Williamsport were represented at the 2026 State Games of America in State College, Pennsylvania, with athletes competing in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo.

On Saturday, July 25, Growth Combat Sports was represented in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition, with one athlete competing against BJJ competitors participating in the State Games.

On Sunday, July 26, Golden Dragon Academy of Williamsport was represented in the Judo competition, continuing our Judo program’s participation in tournaments throughout Pennsylvania and the Northeast.

July 23, 2026 — Caio Terra No-Gi BJJ Seminar

Growth Combat Sports — Williamsport, PA

Growth Combat Sports hosted a No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu seminar with Caio Terra at our gym in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The seminar brought together Growth Combat Sports students and visiting grapplers for an evening of high-level BJJ instruction and training.

With a strong turnout from our own No-Gi Grappling program along with martial artists from outside the academy, the seminar was a great opportunity for the Williamsport and Central Pennsylvania BJJ community to train with one of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu’s most accomplished competitors and instructors.

The event was part of Growth Combat Sports’ continued effort to bring high-level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, No-Gi grappling, MMA, and combat sports training opportunities to Williamsport, PA.
